David J. Slate and The Rocket 88 Blues Band have been a mainstay on the valley music scene for many years. Their music is fun and danceable with a lot of swing to it!

The band is fronted by David J. Slate on lead vocals and harmonica and Jeannette Laveau on vocals and percussion.

David J. Slate is a great harp player in the style of other great Chicago players before him and a very entertaining and engaging singer.

Jeannette Laveau is a dynamite vocalist with a very soulful side, singing heartfelt solos and beautiful harmonies

On guitar is Randy Threlfall. Randy is a great player with strong rhythms and searing soloing. Randy also sings lead and harmony vocals.

Long time drummer Dave Patton lays down the solid beat, all while singing lead vocals and adding some great harmonies.

Ed Saunders has taken up the bottom groove, and adds lead and harmony vocals to the mix.

Pete Matthews rounds out the lineup, covering the keyboards.
